I Had a Bad Day Again
Have you ever had one of the best days of your life, then the next day, it seems as though the bottom has dropped entirely out of your life and everything just completely falls apart? I think we all do. Sometimes it's a great weekend with family and friends, and then you come back to school and find out that you have 3 tests on Monday that you forgot or didn't have time to study for. Maybe your boyfriend of girlfriend and yourself are on the rocks and you are trying to find every possibly answer as to why. Maybe you and your teammates simply cannot find a way to win a game or a match, no matter what you do. It is sometimes so hard to understand why God puts days like those in our lives.
Let me be the first to tell you….I have days like that.
Matthew 10:39 says this, " He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it."
Often, it truly feels like we have "lost our life," doesn't it?
Sometimes, God has to remind us that He, and ONLY He, is in control of our lives. It's like when you pinch yourself to make sure that you're awake….God is sort of "pinching us" to remind us of who he is and what sort of role He has in our lives.
When everything falls apart, keep in mind that God is the one….the ONLY one who can put it back together. When the pieces of the puzzle just don't seem to fit…or when they are all scattered over the table and they seems impossible to fit together… God can do it. He was the one who created the puzzle.
Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
I've had a bad day again.....
